Trimlight is a permanent, programmable exterior lighting system professionally installed along your home's roofline. The patented channel system is designed to blend into your home during the day while providing bright, customizable lighting at night for holidays, game days, special occasions, everyday accent lighting, and more.
Trimlight is designed to be hardly noticeable when it is turned off. The patented channel is custom-fit to your home and designed to blend into the roofline while concealing the wiring. At night, the lights provide bright, vibrant color without the visible wires and hanging strands of traditional holiday lighting.
Trimlight components are designed for long-term use and the residential lighting system is backed by a Lifetime Product Warranty. Trimlight rates its lights for up to 50,000 hours of use. Under typical nighttime use, components may last approximately 20 to 30 years, while systems used primarily for holidays may last even longer. Running the lights continuously day and night can significantly shorten their lifespan.
Our installed permanent lighting projects typically range from $1,500—$5,000+, depending on the size and layout of your home, the amount of roofline being covered, and installation complexity. We provide a free, no-obligation quote so you’ll know exactly what your system will cost before moving forward.
Trimlight uses energy-efficient, low-voltage LED technology. Trimlight's current 3L residential bulb uses approximately 0.9 watts per bulb, while the Classic bulb uses approximately 0.6 watts per bulb. Actual energy use will depend on the size of your system, brightness settings, patterns, and how many hours you operate the lights.
HOA requirements vary, so homeowners should check with their association before installation. Trimlight is designed to be discreet during the day, with a low-profile channel that blends into the roofline. Trimlight reports that its systems are widely accepted by HOAs, but approval ultimately depends on your individual association's rules.
Most residential Trimlight installations can be completed in a single day. Larger homes, more complex rooflines, or larger commercial projects may require additional time. Our team will review the scope of your project with you before installation.
Yes. Trimlight is professionally installed and custom-fit to the shape and trim style of your home. The channel is available in a wide range of colors and is designed to blend with your home's fascia and roofline for a clean, permanent appearance.
The Trimlight controller is typically mounted in a protected location such as an interior garage wall or under a carport. The exact location will depend on your home's layout, available power, Wi-Fi coverage, and the design of your lighting system.
Trimlight is designed to install beneath the soffit without drilling into your shingles, roof, drip edge, or attic space. The system is installed with the goal of leaving your gutters and drainage system untouched while creating a clean, integrated appearance along the roofline.
If a light or other covered component fails because of a manufacturer defect, contact Wasatch Trimlight and we'll help get the system repaired. Eligible components are covered under Trimlight's Lifetime Product Warranty. Labor coverage is separate from the product warranty, so a labor or service charge may apply depending on the age of your installation and applicable labor-warranty terms.
Not necessarily. A failure within the RGB components may affect only an individual light. In some cases, a fault involving the data connection can affect lights farther down the line. Either way, the affected component can be diagnosed and replaced without replacing the entire lighting system.
Trimlight's residential system includes a Lifetime Product Warranty on eligible components for the manufacturer's estimated lifespan of those parts, with the lights rated for up to 50,000 hours of use. Trimlight dealers provide at least a one-year labor warranty, although labor coverage can vary by dealer. After the applicable labor-warranty period, covered replacement parts may still qualify under the product warranty while a labor or service charge may apply.
Trimlight is designed to be a low-maintenance permanent lighting system. There are no seasonal strands to install, remove, or store. If a bulb, controller, power-supply component, or another part needs service, simply contact Wasatch Trimlight and we'll help diagnose the issue and determine the appropriate repair.
